the country's second-largest soccer division behind Major division Soccer. Recently, the $16,000,000 former NBA player went on 'Vlad TV'

and discussed the rise of soccer in the United States with the arrival of Lionel Messi in South Beach.

Wilkins is not the only NBA icon who has become actively involved with the sport. LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is a part-owner of Liverpool FC,

one of the largest teams in England and the world. Many NBA stars have also invested in Major League Soccer. 

Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Brewers, James Harden of the Houston Dynamo, and Kevin Durant's 35V of Gotham FC are all heavily involved.
