Nuggets Journal: New NBA rule on resting multiple stars doesn’t affect Denver … unless Jamal Murray has eyes on All-NBA prize

Get comfortable, Jamal Murray. Nikola Jokic, go soak your toes in the water a little longer. Ironically,  

the star-studded team that recently won the title is the only one temporarily exempt from the NBA's new rules intended to limit the exploitation of load management.

That's because the Nuggets only have one star player by the Player Participation Policy's absurd definition.

One of the most important developments this offseason is the PPP, which was accepted by the board of governors on Wednesday. 

The NBA implemented new watchdog measures that will increase workload and injury risk before the playoffs 

for many contenders after becoming alarmed by the rising practice of ticket-selling players skipping important regular-season games. 

The underlying root of this problem was missed by the NBA (82 games), who chose to ignore it.

The main rule: As of this season, teams are not permitted to rest multiple healthy star players
