Kyrie Irving, the point guard for the Dallas Mavericks, has had a very turbulent last NBA season.
He has gotten himself into trouble on numerous occasions, making it impossible for franchises to trust him.
Irving's time with the Brooklyn Nets was marred by failure. He spent a lot of time on the sidelines,
whether it was due to a self-inflicted problem or an injury. The deterioration of their friendship started when the Nets lost faith in him to stay on the court.
Irving looked for other possibilities when it became obvious that Brooklyn would not be able to provide a long-term agreement.
Last offseason, a trade request was made, but nothing happened because it seemed like only the Los Angeles Lakers were interested.
The Nets ultimately decided to keep him and make an effort to work things out.
Another trade request was made throughout the campaign. The Nets concluded a deal with the Mavericks after finding a taker this time.
