Kevin Costner's lawyers attacked his ex-wife Christine Baumgarter for asking $885K in legal fees.
Page Six reports that Christine's legal team has urged her to pay the large amount to challenge Kevin's prenuptial agreement.
According to Kevin's attorney Laura Wasser, Christine's legal team's cost is “nothing short of outrageous.” Wasser noted that the judge upheld their prenuptial agreement.
Christine filed for divorce on May 1 due to irreconcilable differences with Kevin. She stated their breakup on April 11 in court records.
After 18 years of marriage, the couple had three children: 15-year-old Cayden, 14-year-old Hayes, and 12-year-old Grace.
The judge ordered Kevin to pay $63,209 per month instead of Christine's substantially higher request for child support, a major triumph for Kevin.
In Santa Barbara court, Kevin said, “My biggest concern is that the court orders me to pay child support that is above the needs of my children and for Christine.”
