Jets Have Made Official Roster Decision On Aaron Rodger

The New York Jets stunned the Buffalo Bills on Monday night with a punt return walkoff score in overtime.

Unfortunately, winning was expensive. On his fourth play with the Jets, star quarterback Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles and will miss the 2023 season.

Just 24 hours after being anticipated to lead the Jets to a playoff run, Rodgers was placed on the injured reserve list.

"The #Jets have officially placed Aaron Rodgers on injured reserve," NFL insider Tom Pelissero said.

With Rodgers gone for the season, Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Zach Wilson will start.

"I want to make it very clear, Zach's our quarterback," Saleh told reporters Tuesday. Zach has our full trust. Zach has our support and enthusiasm."

Wilson replaced the injured Rodgers and completed 14-of-21 throws for 140 yards with a score and an interception.
