Colorado footballer Travis Hunter hospitalized during game.

Travis Hunter was hammered hard in Saturday's game for Colorado.

Head coach Deion Sanders said Colorado football standout Travis Hunter will miss the next two weeks after being hospitalized

Hunter lay on the field after CSU safety Henry Blackburn hit him hard in the first quarter and received treatment from team trainers.

Officials cited Blackburn for undue roughness. Hunter briefly returned to the game before being removed from the field and stadium.

The Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders defended Hunter after the Blackburn hit, which may have caused him to leave the game and receive medical attention.

Hunter was a crucial transfer portal addition when Colorado hired Deion Sanders as head coach.

He followed Sanders to the Buffaloes this season after committing to him at Jackson State as a five-star, top-ranked cornerback.

Colorado rallied to beat rival Colorado State in double overtime on Saturday to stay unbeaten before facing Oregon next weekend.
