Actor Billy Miller of 'The Young and the Restless' and 'General Hospital' dies at 43

Billy Miller, an actor who for years charmed viewers of soap operas by playing Billy Abbott on 

The Young and the Restless," has passed away. He was 43. In a statement to TODAY.com, Miller's manager confirmed his passing and noted that his 44th birthday would have been on September 17.

Billy Miller, an Emmy Award-winning actor, passed away in Austin, Texas, on September 15,

2023. When he passed away, the actor was battling manic depression, according to the statement. There was no mention of a cause of death.

Fans of soap operas saw Miller make his debut as Richie Novak on "All My Children"

in 2007. Before joining the cast of "The Young and the Restless," he remained on the show for a full year.

He was honored with three Daytime Emmys for his portrayal of the brash playboy Billy Abbott in 2010, 

 2013, and 2014. He appeared in 719 episodes while continuing to work on the CBS serial drama till 2014.
